How a Church Service Works
Step 1
Planning with You & The Church
- We assist in liaising with your chosen church, clergy or celebrant.
- We help you choose hymns or music, readings or prayers, and any special traditions you wish to include.
- We work with you to design the order of service (hymns/readings/tributes), personal tributes, photo displays or memorials, and other bespoke touches.
Step 2
Coordinating Logistics
- Michael Crawford Funerals arranges the booking of the church and coordinates times, transport and staff.
- We handle practical details: transport of your loved one, transfer to the church, flowers or memorial decorations, order-of-service booklets if required, and any audio/visual or tribute playlists (if the venue permits).
- Our team ensures a smooth arrival, setup, and respectful presentation - so the family can focus on honouring their loved one.
Step 3
The Day of the Service
- On the day, we deliver your loved one to the church and oversee the ceremonial arrangements.
- We support with flow of service, guest guidance, tribute presentations or readings, and coordination with clergy or celebrant.
- We treat every detail with dignity, respect and care, allowing family and friends to grieve, remember and support each other in a spiritual environment.
Step 4
After the Service
- After the church service, we can arrange for transport to a cemetery or crematorium for committal, or organise a reception/refreshments if desired.
- We can also support with follow-up actions: managing notices, liaising with cemeteries or crematoriums, and coordinating with florists or other providers.
